So over the weekend J&J were digg'n in the back yard with some of their tools. Every time they hit a rock or some hard dirt they would exclaim "I FOUND A DINOSAUR BONE!" At one stage yesterday, they were heading outside when I was coming inside. James held the screen door open and said, "Daddy, you gotta come see this!" I told him in just a minute and continued inside. As soon as they saw I was closing the inside door, they let go of the screen door to stop me in my tracks! When I saw their enthusiasm I just had to go see. They had found a new layer of dirt they were convinced was a dino bone.

Today at work, James called to tell me they had found even more bones. So today on my way home from work, I stopped by Petco and purchased a couple of actual pork bones. While Alanna kept them occupied inside, I went to their digging hole and buried them in. After we read scriptures (Tower of Babel tonight) we headed out to dig more bones!

They were delighted to hold up actual bones in triumph! We took some pictures (the battery had to recharge when the actual discoveries were made) and some after shots of them eating their patriotic dessert cookies (half off from Marsh now that it is the 9th of July :).
